Horizon Wellness & Spa Resort - Best Western Signature Collection

This is a cheap spa resort, and you pay for more than you get. Definitely not a 4 star experience, we recently stayed at more comfortable and nicer hotels rated at 3 stars. Location seems like a modernized motel with attached spa facilities. The positive: - Room is clean. - staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel is dog-friendly as well. - Several things a available at no cost in the reception, combs, razors, toothpaste etc The negative - There's a restaurant and in the evening while the restaurant is open, the smell of fried meat permeates into the rooms (probably the ventilation system). So unless you are our dog, you will probably not enjoy the smell in the room. The reception provided little help and just asked for patience until the kitchen closed (around 10 pm) and then asked us to exchange the air by opening the windows. - Spa is filled with adolescent groups of boys who behave as adolescent boys do. - Fairly noisy, sound easily comes through the doors or walls. The neutral: - Breakfast was nothing special.

My stay at Hotel Horizon in Varese was supported by excellent remote assistance during the booking process. The staff was genuinely friendly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, it was quite disappointing to discover only during my stay that both spa access and breakfast were included in my reservation. Despite booking a month and a half in advance, no one had informed me of these inclusions. Despite this hiccup, the overall experience was positive. I would suggest improving pre-stay communication to ensure guests can fully enjoy all the services included in their reservations.

The rooms are super clean and nice! Spa area is rather small and noisy for so many people same goes for the pool. Gym is good has more or less everything you need. The massages are really good. Breakfast has a very poor selection 12€ per person, per day. We did not like it and can only recommend to go out in a Cafe or purchase food in the nearby supermarket 'Coop' that is really great. The Restaurant in the Hotel is focused on Meat. If you travel if someone that does not eat meat I can not recommend it but for all others totally recommended. Especially if you like to try rather special meat. Staff was mostly friendly.

Can’t recommend at all. Nicht zu empfehlen! View from the room was blocked by a truck, even without it the “lake” is way too far away. No water or any free snacks in the room. Gym had no lights in the morning, no towels or water. Spa charging 20 Euro extra and only opens at 3pm - can’t use the sauna before that. Breakfast feels more like eating at a petrol station. So many things to improve on. Way too expensive for the bad quality and service provided.

A flight cancellation left me with a spare day in Italy and having exhausted milan and other sights decided on this hotel to rest for 1 night. Arriving from the airport (45 mins @€165 uber) at 23.00, there was no food available, but the helpful reception staff recommended some places that delivered, and offered to bring it to my room when it arrived. The bar was nice and open until 23.:30-00:00 depending on the number of customers. But the reception will make drinks when the bar is closed (I am from the UK after all). The room was great, clean, hot shower, and comfy bed with a very reasonably priced minibar €1 for a bottle of water. The next day, reception allowed me to store my luggage and use the spa facilities until i was ready to leave. Breakfast was clasic fare, some cooked options which were ok, but plenty of it and a nice environment. Spa was really nice, ok it's small, but at no point did it feel cramped, loads of sunbeds outside and the outside pool is a great size. I had lunch which was delivered quickly and hot, reception called me a local taxi back to the airport, €50. So for €113 euros, I really can't fault this place. If you're travelling through or if you're stuck at malpensa and need somewhere to spend a day, I totally recommend it. Thank you to the lovely staff on reception and spa during my stay for helping me and genuinely making me feel welcome. I am genderfluid and can say absolutely LGBT+ friendly.

Hard to call this place 4 Star. There are many things nice(very dog and child friendly) at this place but for the money it really is not worth it. It is located near a highway which makes it loud. We were there during a colder season so outside wellness was not an option but either way I am not sure how you would relax to the sound of cars driving by. It wasn’t a bad stay but I wouldn’t come back. As a note: Our shower never had hot water. While reception was nice they told us the only option was to shower at the gym. Apparently their hot water cannot keep up in the mornings. Interesting that the hot water did not work in the afternoons either.
